This four-day Uzbekistan journey connects Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva — three historic cities that played an important role along the Great Silk Road. In a short but intensive itinerary, you will experience Samarkand's monumental squares and mausoleums, Bukhara's medieval architectural ensembles and the distinctive heritage of Khiva preserved within the walls of Ichan-Kala.

The route is designed around efficient travel between the cities, with the main intercity journeys operated by modern Afrosiyob high-speed trains. This saves valuable travel time and leaves more of the itinerary available for sightseeing, historic landmarks and cultural experiences. Transfers, accommodation, meals and guided tours are arranged in advance.

DAY 1. SAMARKAND — THE JOURNEY BEGINS

After arriving at Samarkand International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Following check-in and a short rest, the sightseeing program begins.

A private walking and driving tour introduces you to Samarkand's major landmarks. The route includes Registan Square, Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar and Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis. Together, these sites reveal different chapters of the city's long history and its importance as a major center of the Great Silk Road.

Lunch is arranged at a traditional Uzbek teahouse, where you can taste famous Samarkand plov and other local dishes.

After sightseeing, transfer to the hotel and free evening. An additional dinner at one of Samarkand's leading restaurants can be arranged upon request.

Overnight in Samarkand.

DAY 2. SAMARKAND — BUKHARA BY AFROSIYOB HIGH-SPEED TRAIN

Discover the Lyabi-Hauz Ensemble, Poi-Kalyan Ensemble, Kalyan Minaret, Miri-Arab Madrasa, historic Trading Domes and the Ark Fortress. The route leads through places that for centuries connected trade, cultures and traditions across Central Asia.

Lunch is served at a traditional Bukhara teahouse featuring local cuisine. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel, check-in and free evening.

DAY 3. BUKHARA — KHIVA: TOWARD ANCIENT KHOREZM

After breakfast, transfer to Bukhara railway station. Around midday, depart for Khiva by high-speed train.

Arrival takes place in the afternoon, followed by railway station pickup and private transfer to the hotel. After check-in, enjoy free time for an independent walk through the ancient city.

The open evening allows you to experience Khiva at your own pace, exploring its historic streets and distinctive architecture. Upon request, a sunset dinner can be arranged at one of the leading restaurants inside the Ichan-Kala fortress.

Overnight in Khiva.

DAY 4. KHIVA — ICHAN-KALA

After breakfast, begin a walking tour of Ichan-Kala, the historic walled city and open-air museum of Khiva. Its compact streets contain some of the most remarkable monuments of ancient Khorezm.

The sightseeing program includes Kalta Minor Minaret, Kunya-Ark Fortress, Juma Mosque, Tash-Hauli Palace, Islam Khoja Minaret and Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasa.

The scheduled sightseeing program ends after the tour.

Upon request and for an additional fee, travelers can arrange a transfer to Urgench International Airport, flights to Tashkent or cities in Russia, as well as high-speed train tickets to Bukhara, Samarkand or Tashkent.

In just four days, this itinerary brings together three of Uzbekistan's most important historic centers while using Afrosiyob high-speed trains for the main journeys. It is an efficient choice for travelers who want to discover the heritage of the Great Silk Road, visit the principal attractions of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, and avoid lengthy road transfers between destinations.
